Our Collaboration with Strandet

We are proud to support Strandet, a local environmental initiative on the West Coast of Jutland.

Based in Nørre Vorupør, Strandet works to reduce plastic pollution on beaches and along the coast. Plastic in the oceans is a growing global challenge—around 10 million tons enter the oceans each year, with roughly 1,000 tons washing up on Jutland’s West Coast. Most of it sinks to the seabed, slowly breaking down into microplastics over hundreds of years, posing serious risks to marine life and ecosystems.

Founded in 2018, Strandet organizes beach clean-ups and educates schools, businesses, and the public about the impact of plastic on our oceans.

As part of our support, we have created a special Readers product made from recycled ocean plastic. This spring, we will also host a beach clean-up together with Strandet.
