We Support Havhøst
Readers Copenhagen is proud to support Havhøst – an association of marine gardens dedicated to cultivating food from the ocean.
Havhøst was established in 2011 as a community of passionate individuals across Denmark. Based in Copenhagen at Kalvebod Brygge, they now operate their own impressive sea garden, where seaweed and mussels are cultivated in Copenhagen Harbour.
The facilities also serve as a hub for communication and education on sustainable food production based on regenerative principles. At the same time, a large number of local marine gardens have emerged across the country, and today Havhøst acts as an umbrella organization for more than 40 independently run maritime gardens.
At Readers Copenhagen, we have chosen to support Havhøst because they work with long-term climate solutions and focus on restoring marine ecosystems – rather than simply preserving them.
We are rooted in a love for Denmark’s blue landscapes and the beautiful nature along our coastlines. We see that same passion reflected in Havhøst’s work, which both protects coastal environments and creates positive change in coastal communities. This strong local connection – close to the cities our glasses are named after – makes the partnership especially meaningful to us.
